What Do You Call Entertainment?

by Leisa on July 7, 2009

This message came through on Neale Donald Walsh’s (Conversations With God) daily e-mail list and I like it enough to post it here!  I think this is very true…

“…. the degree to which people have evolved is instantly revealed through what they call entertainment and ‘fun’.

What do you call ‘entertainment’? What do you describe as being ‘fun’? How do you spend your free time? How do you spend your entertainment dollars? How much television do you watch? How many movies do you see? What kind of programs and films do you spend time on? How many books have you read this month? How many concerts have you caught? How many ballets have you seen? What kind of music do you listen to?

Does any of this matter? You might just as well ask if it matters what kind of food you eat. Nourishment for the mind is no different from nourishment for the body. What you put in is what you get back — in triplicate.”

Leisa,
I was interested in the green smoothie you prepared on the US raw foods program.
You probably realize that that in itself is enough for people to live on each day.
Eating a lot of food in terms of three hearty meals a day is largely a habit.
If you visit my website and click on David Blaine on the side menu you will see a photo of him near the end of a 44 day fast .
He is not a health person – it was just a publicity stunt but it would have been a very cleansing experience for him.
Very detoxifying although for most people short fasts of a few days are best.
I sometimes visit the gold coast so we might meet some time.
best wishes
Jim

Hi Jim,
Absolutely! I agree that the smoothies are quite enough to live on for some time and I often spend a week or two fasting on them myself just for a light tune up! I often get most of my patients to replace a meal or two a day with a green smoothie instead of loading themselves up on more food that just becomes toxic waste and overburdens the digestive system and the organs of eliminiation. I recently spend some time with Dr. Fred Bisci and he was very supportive of water fasting done properly and I’m sure David Blaine actually did get a lot of benefits out of such a stunt! If you do come to the Gold Coast, please do get in touch with me and I’d love to catch up.
