Leisa Ravenscroft, leading naturopath and fatigue expert, is excited to announce the release of a wellness weekend retreat, specially designed for people experiencing stress and fatigue.

In today’s busy lifestyle, fatigue is becoming more and more common. Fast-paced lives, demanding jobs, family commitments and a never-ending cycle of busy-ness, sees many women fighting to keep up with it all. For many, feeling tired all the time becomes ‘the new normal’, whereas for others, three major symptoms appear in combination:

    • fatigue
    • weight gain that is difficult to lose
    • depression

For these women, no matter how much they diet and exercise, the weight doesn’t shift. The fatigue can be all consuming, making each day struggle, and the depression can have a profound affect on quality of life. Medical advice may be sought, but most are turned away with a prescription for anti-depressants, an admonishment to ‘eat less and exercise more’, and a statement that their ‘blood tests are fine’. Yet things are far from ‘fine’.

Leisa has been there herself, suffering from debilitating chronic fatigue that took her on a journey to understand why this condition was so poorly understood and commonly misdiagnosed. Delving into the areas of adrenal fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, hormone imbalances and the emotional aspects of healing, Leisa came to understand the many factors that combine to create a fatigued state, and how to overcome them. This exclusive weekend retreat combines a delightful mix of relaxation in a healing Byron Bay beach environment, nurturing with Ka’Huna massage, nourishing with a wholefoods menu created by superstar chef Andrea Brosnan, and education with lectures and activities. You don’t have to suffer from severe fatigue to attend – anyone who needs some time-out from their busy lives, or who may be feeling run-down and tired, will benefit from this weekend escape!

During the retreat you will learn:

The Menu:

During our weekend retreat the food created by the Embracing Health Team will be a delight to the senses. Nourishing wholefoods prepared with love, using the principles of food as medicine to heal as they inspire. The menu will be vegan, but not entirely raw! There will be a combination of lovingly prepared wholesome cooked foods mixed in with a warming raw menu, satisfying, delicious and healthy!

The Venue:

If you go to a health retreat in Byron Bay, chances are it is being held at Tallow Beach Houses – and this is where we will be staying for our Focus on Fatigue Retreat. Set in a private 30 acre nature sanctuary, Tallows enjoys 630m of amazing beachfront, with cycling tracks, far infra-red sauna, and the beautiful ocean only steps away!

Accommodation will be in two-bedroom cottages with a private bedroom for each guest and one share bathroom between two people. The cottages have large outdoor decks, some overlooking a lake and all with the soothing sounds of the surf to fall to sleep by. Tallows enjoys one of the most relaxed atmosphere’s of any of our retreats, being situated in the most beautiful natural setting.
